The Loved Up Sessions are in essence a lifestyle portrait shoot, they’re more about who you are and what you love than any sort of posing. If you think about it, you’re engaged for a lot longer than the wedding actually goes for, and this fun, crazy, hectic, wonderful time in your life should be documented.
It’s those things that you love to do right here and now in this moment that I want you to remember, whether its your Sunday brunch routine at your favourite little cafe, setting up your first house together, or playing with your dogs at the park.
Those are the things that make you awesome. Let’s remember them.
Sessions begin from $950.
The way that we approach weddings is in an artfully photo-journalistic way. It’s not enough to just capture the events of your day, but what we do is capture the emotion, the feel, the mood. You most likely won’t notice us a lot of the time, and that’s the way we like it.
We try to blend in as much with you and your guests as much as possible, so you don’t notice us when they’re making amazing faces while having a dance-off.
The way that we work is by capturing a whole lot of candids, as we truly believe that nothing transports you back to your wedding day like seeing the genuine emotions and real smiles from your day.
Packages include full-day coverage and high-resolution edited files from your day. Starting from $4200.

WHERE ARE YOU GUYS BASED?
Home base is Sydney, Australia, but we’re lucky to travel all around Australia and the world documenting couples in love.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
Yes! We love to travel and discover new places and the inspiration of being surrounded by foreign experiences. We’ve been lucky to have photographed weddings all over Australia, NZ, the US and throughout Asia.
Generally our requirements are flights and two nights accommodation, but drop us a line and we can work something out.
For out of Sydney weddings where it’s too late to drive back to Sydney the same day as the wedding, we just ask for one night’s accommodation to be covered.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
We’re documentarians, our style is described as artfully-photojournalistic. With backgrounds in design, photography and digital media, our style is greatly influenced by interesting compositions/lines and moments all combined into the photography powerhouse that is the I Love Wednesdays style.
CAN WE GIVE YOU A SHOT LIST?
We work the best as documentarians, shot-lists not only inhibit our creativity but also mean that we may miss amazing documentary moments because we’re focused on looking through a shot-list and trying to cross-check which images we’re supposed to get rather than on the amazing moments that are happening during your day.
DO YOU SHOOT ALONE OR WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?
We both mainly shoot alone, although we love to shoot together too! For destination weddings we tend to travel alone to keep costs down for our couples. If you’re having a big wedding with lots of guests (over 200 guests) or lots of events planned, it can be beneficial to add a second photographer to capture another angle/have someone help with lighting during the reception.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
It varies, depending on the individual wedding, how many guests & events are planned, but generally somewhere between 400-600 images.
DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS?
Every single image gets the magic treatment. We also deliver a mix of colour and black and white images in your final gallery.
DO YOU PROVIDE HIGH-RESOLUTION IMAGES? ARE THEY WATERMARKED?
We do indeed provide high-resolution images and nothing is watermarked at all! You get the high-res images and web-resized ones without any watermarks getting in the way.
WHEN DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
Generally it takes about 6-8 weeks to get your images back.
WE LOVE YOUR WORK, HOW DO WE BOOK YOU IN?
We do everything online and to book your date we need the $1000 booking fee and signed online contract. The only fair way to book people is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we can’t hold any dates without the signed contract/booking fee.
DO YOU MAKE ALBUMS?
We love albums something fierce and you can find some more information about them HERE.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE & BACKUPS?
Yes. 100% yes on all the insurance & all the backups. We have liability insurance & all our gear insured . Backup cameras/lenses are on hand for every wedding. But, not just that, we’re paranoid about backing up images! So, finished photos get backed up to our gallery site, and everything’s backed up in-house on our crazy pants amazing server, along with several backup hard drives. One of the perks of Len’s partner, Nick, being a system-engineer, means we have amazing systems in place.
DO YOU DO PORTRAIT SESSIONS?
We do indeed! Our sessions are called The Loved Up Sessions and you can find out more about them HERE.
DO YOU SHOOT FILM?
Absolutely. We mainly shoot digital at weddings, but we both started off shooting film and it’s our jam. We shoot a mix of large, medium format, and 35mm film, along with instant films, which you can choose to add to your wedding package.
DO YOU SHOOT LGBT WEDDINGS?
Yes we do. We believe that love is love and we can’t wait to document yours!
WE DON’T LIKE POSING, IS THAT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM?
Not at all. To be honest, I don’t think anyone really likes posing, and the way we work is to make you as comfortable as possible so the photos don’t feel awkward at all!
