Kara + Mark // Minimbah Farm Kangaroo Valley Wedding

Kara & Mark are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, they are just thoughtful & genuine as are all of their families and friends. The day started off for me by doing a little scenic drive down to the Kangaroo Valley and seeing some cows, which if you know anything about me, you will know my love of cows is only exceeded by my love of dinosaurs and food. So, right off the bat, I knew this day was going to be something cramazing!

When I think about Kara & Mark, I really think of just a warm rainbow of colours, so when I got to the see both of them and their bridal parties and saw everything; the bridesmaids dresses, to the flowers, the boys ninja turtle socks; everything was a pop of warm colour, it really felt completely perfect. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of them and their love of the outdoors, they married at the top of Minimbah Farm, overlooking the valley, with their marquee gorgeously set up above. I love when everything is happening in the one location, it feels like the party starts right from the ceremony and everyone certainly was in the loved up spirit.

I have to say, it looks like their day was sunny and gorgeous the whole way through, but it started raining RIGHT after the ceremony, stopped long enough for us to grab some gorgeous photos and then started right up again as soon as we got back to the reception. It was almost like it was timed to perfection. They really planned their whole day to make sure everyone had a ball, including having glow sticks for the dancing portion of the evening, seeing how much fun everyone had with them, it’s definitely an awesome addition to any wedding day!

TeePee // The Grounds of Alexandria Wedding

Oh me, oh my! Theresa & Pete (affectionately called TeePee by their friends and family) had one cracker of a wedding, and honestly, I knew it was going to be a lot of fun and a lot of craziness right from the get-go.

You see, I met Theresa & Pete in 2011. Vy, Theresa’s sister was getting married, so we set up a time to meet and I met not only Vy & Matt, but also Theresa, Pete, and Matt’s sister, Alexis. It was intense in the best way possible! I loved that they were so close and involved in each other’s lives. They cared not just about the photos, but also how everyone got along.

Theresa & Pete’s wedding was planned in much the same way as that very first meeting, making sure that everyone got along and enjoyed themselves, their wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their love, but also of how much they loved their families and friends. Of course with a little bit of quirk thrown in… I mean, how awesome are the TEE PEE balloons?! And bowling the morning of the wedding? I feel like this is a new trend that needs to be started! It was just awesome how excited everyone got for bowling and also just how relaxed Pete was!

Christine + TK // Cockatoo Island Loved Up Session

It’s a rainy Monday here in Sydney and I feel like some sunshine and smiles and Christine & TK’s loved up session brings that in spades! There’s so much love between these two, I remember our first chat, via Skype, and even with the connection breaking up, the way that they spoke and looked at each other was just beyond wonderful (and made me not so secretly excited to get to spend time with them).

Christine & TK both have a love of food and our little adventure around Cockatoo Island became a gastronomic delight, I think I have a list a mile long of restaurants I now want to check out, especially a lot of places in Perth, where their wedding is going to be very, very soon (so keep your eyes posted for more of these two).
